George Best Belfast City Airport, a member of the Regional and Business Airports Group (RABA), has announced a £15 million infrastructure investment that will include a major upgrade of its departure lounge, incorporating its retail, food and beverage offering.
In December 2017, The Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) awarded the Regional and Business Airports (RABA) Group Gold Sponsor, Vanderlande, the contract to supply a state-of-the-art baggage handling system (BHS) at its new terminal. In response to the rapid growth in passenger volume, TIAC is constructing Terminal 3 (T3) at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTIA). This will boost capacity and enhance the overall quality of service.
Captain Winston Thomas, owner of Pembrey Airport, a member of the Regional and Business Airports Group, has been appointed MBE for Services to the Aviation Industry in Wales. Captain Thomas was invited to Buckingham Palace in October 2017 to receive the MBE from Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
