The Smart Peripheral and Remote Airports (SPARA) 2020 project is a 3 Year €2.4m Project co funded by the Northern Periphery and Artic Programme 2014 – 2020. It is designed to address some of the challenges facing Peripheral and Remote Airports such as sustaining, future-proofing and delivering community and regional resilience and connectivity.
In the annual airports survey carried out by Which? consumer group, the Best and Worst small UK airports were revealed. The top 5 airports in the small airports results table are all RABA members.
George Best Belfast City airport has been shortlisted for one of the most prestigious global marketing awards in aviation for a second successive year, with a nomination for the ‘Under 4 Million Passenger’ category of the World Routes Marketing Awards.
