Regional and Business Airports Group Annual Conference 2018 – hear from the CCOs of easyJet, Flybe and others about connecting regional airports to Heathrow. Opened by UK Aviation Minister and Scottish Transport Minister.
HubLAB, the Heathrow Connectivity Conference, has been created in joint venture between anna.aero and the 40-airport Regional and Business Airports Group (RABA) to provide an intensive examination of new route propositions for an expanded Heathrow, including the planned new runway.
It will hear plans at CCO level from airlines with important new London Heathrow ambitions including easyJet (which is planning a Heathrow base), Flybe plus other invested carriers, and a host of airports.
HubLAB takes place at the Heathrow-hosted British-Irish Airports EXPO at London Olympia 12-13 June 2018 (200 exhibitors, 3,000 visitors). This FREE OF CHARGE conference is an important opportunity for airports to find out more about airline plans to provide new services from an expanded Heathrow.
Heathrow’s new runway will create hundreds more daily slots and allow the launch of dozens of new routes. This includes a forecast 40 extra long-haul destinations, and potentially the doubling of the the airport’s domestic services, with Flybe and easyJet indicating that services to airports like Dundee, Norwich, Doncaster Sheffield, Belfast International, Cornwall Airport Newquay, and Jersey, will be on their network development plans when the runway is built. Major cities across Europe which have no Heathrow services – Bordeaux, Eindhoven, Leipzig etc – will also face the chance to connect and feed the Heathrow hub.
