RABA Group welcomes rejection of High Court challenge to Heathrow Expansion

The UK Regional and Business Airports (RABA) Group, which represents 39 of the UK’s smaller regional and local Airports with scheduled pax throughputs of less than 3 million passengers per annum, welcomes today’s High Court decision and trusts that it will allow Heathrow Airport Limited to focus on delivering their third runway project, creating opportunities for enhanced regional links to the UK’s national hub, offering amongst the best network of international connections of any airport in the World.

The November edition of Regional Gateway magazine features an article by RABA Chairman Neil Pakey. Neil talks about Heathrow's third runway and its impact on regional airports in the UK. 

A survey undertaken by Admiral Insurance, which was reported in many national newspapers, compares the drive-up price for two weeks car parking across 27 UK airports.

The results show that 10 of the 15 airports offering the lowest comparative price, were RABA members, whereas only one of the dozen most expensive were, demonstrating once again the significant advantages to air travellers of using their smaller local airports wherever possible.

The anna.aero-RABA HubLAB Heathrow Connectivity Conference took place at the third British-Irish Airports EXPO on 12 June in collaboration with the 40 UK airports of the Regional And Business Airports Group (RABA). The EXPO, which was hosted by Heathrow at London Olympia, was attended by more than 3,095 visitors from 12-13 June.

RABA sponsor AeroParker have won a 10 year contract with Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to supply a robust e-commerce platform for its parking operation.

HubLAB, the Heathrow Connectivity Conference, has been created in joint venture between anna.aero and the 40-airport Regional and Business Airports Group (RABA) to provide an intensive examination of new route propositions for an expanded Heathrow, including the planned new runway.
